A Shot At Love 3: Double Shot At Love With The Ikki Twins Promo

November 21, 2008 By: Grace Chu Category: Non L Word TV

Meet the Ikki Twins, Rikki and Vikki. They call themselves “the world’s hottest twins.” They claim to be bisexual, and they also like to touch each other inappropriately. They were discovered at a classy joint called Hooters, and now they will bring that class to MTV!

A while back, I joked that Tila Tequila was incapable of loving anyone besides herself. I suggested that she hire a South Korean scientist to perfect cloning techniques and create a narcissistic bisexual Tila twin so that she and her clone can run off together in bliss. Be careful what you wish for…

So, how many of you want to storm 1515 Broadway in disgust? How many of you will actually watch this season? (And how many of you are only saying you won’t because you’re afraid to admit it?)

I can honestly say I won’t be watching this for the following reasons:

1. I don’t think I get MTV

2. I don’t watch much TV (hence my lack of knowledge on #1)

3. I gave up on reality shows after the second season of Survivor.

I’ll admit I watched the preview. And now I feel like I must bathe my eyeballs in bleach.

That was more effective than Ipecac.

I’m completely and utterly disgusted and yet not even remotely surprised.

That must be every mans fantacy. Bisexual twins who like to touch each other! Jesus. Do they each get to pick someone or are they choosing one lover for the pair? Don’t know why I care?!

WHY DO PEOPLE WATCH THIS?!?!?!?!?!?!?

The thing that gets to me the most is that it’s called “reality television.” I can’t think of anything FURTHER from reality. if this resembles someone’s reality, then my condolences. Wow. I hate this. TV Land all the way!

Oh NO! This is terrible– I would only watch if I were promised another Dani Campbell to save the reality show from being a distasteful parade of gender/bisexuality stereotypes. (Maybe I’ll rely on you Grace girls to take care of the dirty work… or watch with a barf bag in hand.)

As a previous Tila tolerator (first season, people! you watched too!), this is hitting my threshold. There’s only so much a girl can take, and this is TOO. MUCH. Let’s say the incest themes put me over the edge. Or that everyone thinks that bisexual women are inherently Playboy models.

Agreed! Why hasn’t Dani gotten her own show!?

I think it’d be more interesting if they had picked a bisexual man. I’m REALLY tired of this “lesbian trend” thing. Why not mix it up and throw gay men and straight women into the mix? Besides, since they’re twins it’s obvious one will pick a man and one will pick a women.
