About Grace Gatsby

Profile:  When she's not writing illuminating posts for the lovely ladies at Grace The Spot, Grace Gatsby attends school where she is majoring in journalism with a minor in women's studies. Some of her idols include Mary Gaitskill, J.D. Salinger, Jessica Valenti and David Sedaris, but if she could be anyone, it would probably be Angelina Jolie. When she's not busy daydreaming, she also works in retail part-time where she fufills her love of fashion with a 40% discount that eats half of her paycheck. In her spare time, she is always looking for an excuse to go to a concert and she is addicted to her iPod. Some of her favorite music includes Uh Huh Her, Kelly Clarkson, Ingrid Michaelson and Esthero. She also enjoys seeing a good movie, with some of her favorites being, "Secretary," "Girl, Interrupted" and "Fight Club." She sometimes contemplates giving up caffeine, but loves soda and coffee way too much. Some of her other vices include kittens, corsets, songs in 6/8 and pretty girls who swear a lot.

The fifth season of “The Bachelorette,” the female version of that hetero reality dating show juggernaut, “The Bachelor” came to a close this week and it got me thinking.
