You’ve read about the Westboro Church protests outside of the Lady Gaga concert this weekend. Did you know that earlier this year, Fred Phelps’s granddaughter Megan Phelps made some videos in which she sings twisted and truly fucked up covers of Lady Gaga songs? I think she’s secretly a fan. This is not to say that these video aren’t abhorrent – they are. They will most certainly melt your brain. In fact, there is a decent chance you might end up a vegetable after watching these.
We liveblogged the epic Lady Gaga show at Madison Square Garden. The ground literally shook. It was unbelievable. Gaga shouted out the gays, repeatedly. Ellie Conant kept screaming like a little girl. Nell Stark and Trinity Tam looked like they had inhaled an ungodly amount of crack, and post gaming continued the Gaga onslaught! EXTREME!!!

As some of you may know, AfterEllen tapped me to become their resident New York City scenester. This is because I am the only writer on the staff based in New York City, not because I am qualified to do things like hold my liquor or be social. Those who met me in real life after I turned 25 or so think that the concept of me running around covering nightlife events in NYC and speaking to strangers on a regular basis is comical.
