In response to the “Stuff Lesbians Like: Nicknames” post, lulazoid writes:
The only person who has a nickname in our pays de lesbo is known as Barbiepot, pot being the Dutch word for dyke. Because she was the only femme for the longest time in the lesbian bars of the city where I live. Things have since changed, of course, but she still goes by her moniker.
While “pot” may be the Dutch word for “dyke,” “pot” is the English word for “the reason why Americans travel to the Netherlands.”
So, ladies, if you go to Amsterdam and ask for “pot,” several lesbians may walk up to you offering hash brownies, joints, and themselves. This is good to know! Start booking those flights!

Only one problem: it’s pretty rare in non-US English to call marijuana ‘pot’. Try asking for hash or grass. You’ll get more luck. You want hot chicks? It’s Amsterdam. It’s not hard, kids.
