The Phelps clan is completely, totally batshit crazy – and obsessed with Lady GagaBy Grace Chu |
Over the weekend, the clan of genetically stunted crazies known as the Westboro Baptist Church protested Lady Gaga’s show in St. Louis. Gaga, taking the high road, alerted her fans via Twitter that the protesters were outside but told them not to engage the “hate criminals.”
(Read, from bottom to top.)

Some of her fans protested anyway, but she was still pleased at the end of the night.
This wasn’t the first time members of the Phelps clan has singled out Lady Gaga, and I’m going to go out on a limb and state that Fred Phelps’ granddaughter Megan is secretly a fan. Why? Megan Phelps made a couple of videos in which she makes up new words while singing along to Gaga’s hits “Telephone” and “Poker Face” basically calling Gaga devil spawn and the catalyst that will bring about the end of civilization.
You don’t make these videos, practice (and mangle) Gaga’s choreography, sing out of tune versions of her songs, and dance around with a grin on your face if you don’t think Gaga’s music is fun – even if you’re calling her names with amateurish cartoon font. Bitch hums Gaga in the shower when grandpa isn’t listening, I’m tellin’ ya. Even shitheads can get caught up in Gaga fever. It happens.
This is not to say that these video aren’t abhorrent – they are. They will most certainly melt your brain. But they are oddly compelling, and like a bag of arsenic-laced Pringles, once you pop, you can’t stop. Beware, though. There is a decent chance you might end up a vegetable after watching these.

Hello? Are you ok? Should we call an ambulance? Bueller?

I’m not stupid enough to watch those, because idiocy is like the abyss; as you stare into it, it stares into you. That and I want to be in a good mood today and I can ignore their laughable hate mongering (they’re just so outrageous its reached the level of ‘humor’) but ‘Stupid” just happens to be one of my buttons.
I agree that she’s probably a closet Gaga fan. Gaga might be like the abyss too…it’s just so damn catchy.

I think the God Hates Lady Gaga video is hysterical. Unintentional humor is my favorite kind.

These same people are protesting the big ass San Diego Comic Con this weekend (largest comic/geek media convention in the world, for you non-dorkathons out there).
Apparently, their beef is that comic fans are given to false idolatry…because apparently, they worship Superman like Jesus. Their press release on it really was a lot of unintentional funniness. I’m not even sure what their point is, anymore. Usually, when you protest something, you do so with the intention of trying to persuade others, but what they do pretty much goes in the exact opposite direction. It’s an entire incestuous family of personality disorders.

I just watched the first video…I must say that the production values are much higher than I thought they would be. Also, isn’t it bad that those girls are wearing short shorts and dancing?

I wanted to stop myself from watching this crap, but my curiosity got the better of me…but WOW…she really put a lot of effort into those videos… I think the lady doth protest too much!
