Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Batwoman is running for mayor of DC.By Grace Chu |
Tired of stalkerish anti-gay crackheads running our nation’s capital?

You’re in luck! Our favorite lesbionic superheroine is running for mayor of Washington, DC, so if you care about fighting for justice and equality, and looking hot in spandex while fighting for justice and equality, click here and be part of the Batwoman revolution.

Here is Batwoman’s platform:
Equality
Batwoman is passionate about issues of equality. She will fight to ensure that every person, gay or straight, has the opportunity to get married the person they love. She will also fight for gender equality and will support efforts to ensure that women and minorities have equal opportunities in the workplace. In this day and age, we should live in a world where sexual orientation, gender identity, gender, and race do not determine your place in society. Batwoman opposes Prop 8.
Health Care
Batwoman believes that every man, woman and child should be able to visit a doctor when in need. She will support a strong plan that provides universal access to quality affordable healthcare. Mothers should never have to make the decision to pay the rent or take a sick child to the doctor. Batwoman will make sure that no one has to make this choice again.
Education
Batwoman believes that every child should have the opportunity to live in an environment where they feel safe, cared for and respected. Without a well-trained, well-paid teacher in every classroom, we are denying our children the education they will need to be successful, contributing members of society. Batwoman strongly believes that everyone who wants to go to college should be given that opportunity, regardless of economic circumstances. Batwoman will level the playing field and make sure that every child has an equal opportunity to become the best person he or she can be. Batwoman endorses the Dream ACT
Crime
Batwoman believes everyone should have the same opportunity to live in a safe community. As mayor, she will fight to reduce violent crime in DC.. Batwoman has been fighting crime her entire life, and will make sure that those who break the law are put where they belong: in jail. However, once they have served their time, Batwoman believes that they should have an equal opportunity to reintegrate and become productive members of society once again.
They say that truth is stranger than fiction. I’d say that Batwoman’s fictional world a lot less strange than reality, so vote for a fictional character and make our reality make some sense for once!
Here is a snippet from her bio:
In 2006, the Gotham Gossip discovered her relationship with police detective Renee Montoya. Rather than cower in fear after the appearance of the new story, Batwoman stood by her convictions and proudly came out as the world’s first gay superhero. The public remained supportive and appreciative of her community activism, integrity, and personal grit. Batwoman continues to be a fervent advocate for equality for all, especially LGBT Americans, and a relentless advocate for social justice.
So the “Gotham Gossip” (i.e. the New York Post) was up to its usual shenanigans, eh? Never fear! Batwoman does not cower in the face of cover story headlines written in all caps! That is a sign of a true leader.
O Batwoman, Batwoman. Where art thou, Batwoman?
