MISSION STATEMENT

Lesbian culture, especially the subset of lesbian culture which has a stranglehold in academic, hipster and radical circles, can be a foreign and inaccessible labyrinth. That’s not us. In fact, that’s not how the vast majority of lesbians, who just want to hang out with fun loving women and drink their beer in peace, define themselves. We’re just women who like women. We’re the silent majority, and it’s about time we all stood up.

We’re not going to quote Judith Butler or judge you if you don’t know who she is. We’re not going to tell you to get a trendy haircut. We’re not going to overwhelm you with queer theory. If you’re into that, great. This is just a silly blog written by a bunch of silly lesbians. Come in. Relax. Get away from all of that fashionable nonsense and have a beer – or two, or three -  in our living room. Play touch football in our back yard. Feel free to carry a purse without judgment. Channel your inner frat boy… or sorority girl.

Finally, although the blog is geared towards the lesbian and LGBT community at large, we are inclusive to all respectful visitors.

Here are our terms and conditions, and they’re simple: Don’t be abusive. Don’t defame people. Don’t infringe other people’s rights.

Spamming or marketing commercial sites in the comment section will not be tolerated.

With respect to the comments, we reserve the right to delete comments for any reason whatsoever.

Also, if you want something removed because you believe something that appeared on the site is infringing, please contact Grace Chu. Please be specific about the item(s) you want removed. She will remove them expeditiously. Repeat infringers will be banned.
