Eight (okay, eight and a half) days ago, we started the 8 Against 8 campaign to raise funds for Equality California’s No on 8 campaign. Eight lesbian bloggers came together in a unified and collaborative effort to help place the discriminatory ballot initiative called Proposition 8 in its rightful place in the dust heap of history. In those eight days, the massive outpouring of support and donations from our friends and readers exceeded all of our expectations. We initially aimed for $8,000, but our final total ended up being $13,759!!!

Remember, on November 4th, if you are in California, vote “no” on Proposition 8. Every person should be free to marry the person he or she loves. Period. If you missed the 8 Against 8 campaign you can still go to Noonprop8.com to make a donation to No on 8 directly.
