By Grace Chu in The Dinah 2011
They’re here, they’re queer, and you might just react with fear. Videos of 10,000 lesbians in the desert.
After fourteen hours of being airborne and being not so airborne in the longest layover ever at LAX, I finally touched down in Palm Springs at 7:30 PT last night and raced over to the comedy show at the Riviera, which was already in progress. 90 degrees, clear skies, palms trees lining the streets.
The Dinah 2011 is slated for March 30th – April 3rd this year, and it should be just as insane, if not more, than last year. We caught up with Mariah Hanson, grand poobah of Club Skirts The Dinah and asked her a few questions about this year’s festivities.
We here at Grace the Spot have low standards, but even some posts are sent to the
rubbish bin compost heap. Here is a list of rejected GTS blog posts.
Whereas The Real L Word seems intent in sparking some sort of lame East Coast / West Coast rivalry, real real lesbians would rather not re-enact a lesbian version of the Death Row / Bad Boy beef of the late 1990s. Real lesbians are all about bi-coastal love, as you will see from this years NYC Pride events for women. Are we sick of the word “real” yet? For real!
Jersey Shore Season 2 preview, new Lady Gaga video (at some point today), (possibly) the new iPhone and Autostraddle’s 2nd annual pride blowout.
Well hello! We’re still here. We’re still queer. And we’re still going to post content to amuse you all. We’ve just been busy for the last few days. We’re compiling our own 100 list, and it’s taking a lot of our time. Plus, Grace Chu has been out speaking to other human beings, which is a hoot!
While Grace Chu and Grace Rooney were conquering the Dinah, I was driving to Denver via the endless stretch of nothingness known as Nebraska which had fewer lesbians and a lot less nudity than Palm Springs.
